“I strive to provide my patients with best advice about their spine. My goals are to perform a thorough evaluation and treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar pain. I use all modalities possible to give patients the best quality of life possible. I expect most patients will be treated without surgical intervention but when required, surgical treatments are tailored to meet patient’s need. I believe in the role of family in helping the patient recover from their spine problems and their input in decision making and recovery.”

Dr. Kanwarpaul Grewal is an orthopedic spine surgeon and the founder, Director, and Attending Physician of Grewal Orthopedic & Spine Care. After completing the Complex Spine and Deformity Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco — one of the nation’s leading academic spine programs — Dr. Grewal returned to Long Island, where he trained as an orthopedic surgery resident in the Hofstra/Northwell Health System at Plainview Hospital.
Since founding the practice in 2018, Dr. Grewal has built a spine and orthopedic program spanning four offices in East Meadow, Westbury, Lindenhurst, and Elmhurst, Queens — bringing complex-spine-fellowship-level expertise to patients close to home, without a trip into Manhattan.
Dr. Grewal evaluates and treats the full spectrum of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, adult scoliosis and deformity, and neck and lower back pain. [Each condition phrase links to its pillar page — mapping in Section 7.] His philosophy puts non-surgical care first; when surgery is needed, he offers minimally invasive spine surgery, ACDF, and complex reconstructive procedures tailored to each patient.
